I am looking for a half zip super light windproof to hang off my harness that packs into its pocket or something like that. Must have a hood. Recommendations welcome. Thanks.

Easy - Rab Borealis pull-on, if you can find one. I've got one, it's great.

Seems to have been replaced with the full-zip jacket version

I've got a Rab Vital full zip. packs into its own pocket to about grapefruit size. Weighs nearly nothing and the hood just squeezes over a helmet too. Great for belays in the wind and water resistant enough to survive a High Tor summer downpour half way up and stay mostly dry!

Picked it up cheap in the sale for about £50 I think.

I think they only make the jacket now. I have the pullover hoody and it is flipping brilliant.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but nothing quite fits the brief yet in terms of being actually available, half zip, super light (rather than softshell/waterproof etc), stuff in its own pocket (no stuff sack) to hang off harness.

This doesn't have a hood, but Cioch might be able to do a customised version for you.

Mine is a couple of decades old and still in great condition. Just don’t expect it to be waterproof on it’s own though very light rain is ok for a bit.

Patagonia Houdini Anorak fits the bill if you can find one from last season. It looks like it's discontinued in favor of the full zip now.

Following with interest as my old Needlesport top with exactly that spec is finally giving up the ghost.

Amazing - fits the brief perfectly and only £12!

Looks like its made out of a bin bag though.
