Thanks for the comments guys. It was quite a misty morning - hence the muted colours. I took a series of RAW files and combined them in Photomatix to retain some detail in the hillside while avoiding blocking up the foreground shadows. A friend suggested I boost the contrast from the rather flat result and after a bit of tweaking in Photoshop I ended up with this.
