does that man on the right have his hands down his trousers?
CJD - 31/May/07
I see that tucking your hands down your trousers is the warmest place for them?
It looks spectacular (the view etc, erm, not the hand down trousers).

He does. In his defence he's from Hull so he wasn't brought up 'proper'. He needed to keep warm somehow after not bringing his sleeping bag! Yes, very very spectacular, especially waking upto the sunrise on the side of the mountain...

we can see that. what the viewers don't know is that you have a lovely floral number in the bag to go with those blue tights and that you were about to treat the group to a lovely performace of mamma mia. We all enjoyed it very much and it added so much to the bivvy..

Jeez, you say that and now you're going to deny us a video of it! Platforms and blue tights, delectable!

I remember once Bivvying up there last week in May in a Blizzard then getting sunstroke the next day!!!

Where about on the ridge was the bivvy? I'm attempting the traverse with 3 friends mid May and we're doing it over two days, so any good locations would be handy (we're doing it North to South by the way).

Just before starting up Sgurr Mich Coinnich (before Kings chimney or collie's ledge depending which way you go) there is a scree slope sloping down on the right hand-side. If you go down this for about 500 yards or so (keeping left) it levels out with some flat grassy bits by boulders... This description covers starting from Gars Bheinn and ending at Sgurr Nan Gillean (i.e. South to North). Hope that helps and good luck!
