Gormire Lake is a natural lowland lake that lies at the foot of Whitestone Cliff, a western escarpment of the Hambleton Hills in the North York Moors National Park. I parked outside of the gates of Paradise Farm and hiked in - a lengthier route than another car park but the walk is stunning. There are hiking and some climbing opportunity at varying locations in this area but I visited mainly for the outdoor swimming at the phenomenal lake on this occasion.
