it would be nice to know the name of this route if anybody out there is in possession of that knowledge :) (we didn't have a guidebook). cheers!

I don't think this route is currently in a guidebook. Where is it exactly? I was out exploring Tafraout granite on the same damp day :)

this boulder was just down in the river bed below the black wall with the sport climbs on it near aguerd oudad. brilliant route :) the boulder just gets bigger and bigger as you get closer!

Isn't this a johnny dawes route? I can't say for 100% as I no longer have the southside guide book. But I remember a photo of a boulder with a spliter crack up the middle which looked a lot like this and was some E6 ish offwidth by Dawes...but maybe i'm mistaking it? Would make sense though as Andi Turner is no slouch! :)

Still not sure what the route is, it wasn't an offwidth though, Andi reckonned it was probably around the E4 mark. Cheers for the comments :)

This took a surprisingly long time to identify, but it's a route called Transaharania, first climbed by Palan Martin in 2003. Graded F6c+ in the Tafraout South Side guidebook. How does that fit with what you remember?

ah cool that's good to know, thanks greatly for the info :) . I'm not much of a crack climber myself, and even less a sport climber! but Andi reckoned probably around the e4 6a mark, so I guess that kind of equates?
