You could have used chocs for gear.

Sweet if a bit dusty; you hold yourself in with a mitt on each side then you get to the top and have to leave go with one hand to reach up to the top; the route I chose was a bit runout with the in-situ pegs finishing about 6 meters below. Then I abbed off with the rope around the top walking back down the "arete". I tried to pull the rope down but the friction around the top was too much and I had to go back and fix a bit of tat around a rusty metal bar to provide a retrievable abseil. This structure has a lot of possibilities; what have other people done?
