After all that photoshop effort, I feel obliged to say that it would make a great chocolate box lid!
extreeemclimber - 19/Mar/05

Really captures Zermatt. Nice one! And great post-processing work too...

I presume the original photos are very much like these on http://www.zenadsl6044.zen.co.uk/Valais/Main.htm

Fabulous.
Well done. (Yes there is a hint of jelousy there...) LOL!

I have to dissent here. This picture is just an extraordinary, unnecessary distortion of the truth. The whole thing has been compressed L to R by at least 20% ... to make the Matterhorn appear even steeper than it is. As if the Matterhorn needs any improving!!! This is a false image, and very disturbing to someone who loves the mountains, and particularly the Matterhorn, as I do.
Gordon Stainforth - 17/Sep/06
Agree with Gordon Stainforth on this one. Why create a landscape. Its totally wrong to do this even if you admit to it at the outset.
ches1000 - 30/Oct/06
A photo should be something captured as it is, there and then. I'm not saying this isn't a great looking image, but its not a true photograph, so quit with the superlatives.

i actually have a pic of myself, standing on that rock to the right, with matterhorn in the back as my wallpaper. This must be one of the coolest places to take water+matterhorn shot :D
joa_ds@mount_Wiki - 02/May/09
I have a photo of me on the Matterhorn summit in 1960. Hence, regardless of others' carps I for one am happy to relive my past via your photo. Thank you!

I like the art in this. Some of the best pictures I have seen are the most surreal.
