The house is certainly well positioned. What's the shady history?

The house was owned by a Belgium couple for a long time (including the Franco-era. There are lots of rumours about the house and how it came in their ownership, don't know if anything of it is true). After the previous owners died and before it turned into a fancy hotel the house was defaced with all sorts of interesting grafity.
