There's a complete lack of detail on this photo, sorry, but it doesn't do it for me!

What do you mean lack of detail? I see loads of detail, subtle yes but it's there and it makes you look deeper into the photo rather than the shallow hanging on a cliff style of image that many here think constitutes a good photo!
This is an excellent mountianeering shot that gives scale and depth from the patterns in the snow on the ridge to the climbers hacking their way up the steep snow. Even the lens flare is right.
Gets a 5 from me.

Love it, just love it. Bit jealous you got such conditions and such weather. Must get out more...

Gloomy and atmospheric, plus it's got something about it that makes you 'look into the picture' as opposed to simply 'looking at it'. Amazing that the film has captured the extreme light latitude present here...nice one!

Excellent composition - A real image to enjoy. This is the kind of condidtions that I always seem to miss

This is what I love about winter- some of the features are removed, and the snow type in the forground is what you know the climbers are on. It just snow and them- aweome!

This was taken mid-week in Feb but the snow lasted well into Easter that year, as I recall again climbing on the face, and having it all to myself
