In April 2014 16 Sherpas were killed in an avalanche on Everest. Since then the grievances of workers on the mountain have come to a head. For guest climber, crossing the Icefall few times could be an acceptable level of danger. Although, any low risk you take during a lifetime the aggradated risk goes high.
