If anyone is free, in London, on the 23rd and feel they can help with the Syrian Refugee Relief Fund, an excellent cause set up by Will Wintercross - a totally sound alpinist/trad/sport climbing friend of mine - it would be good. I am trying to help him shift the last 8 tickets!

Tickets for their 2nd annual dinner on the 23rd (8 days) are £25 plus a donation of £100.

Just donate, look fancy and turn up.. 99.5% of your cash goes to the right places and their due diligence is excellent. This year the main campaign is to help children who have been orphaned by the war. Please think about it, £125 is not so much to us, but means toward half a year's living & educations costs for an orphan.

Sorry if this is a 'not allowed' post.. but its worth it if I can get someone to come along

Not sure you have the right demographic. £125 is a lot of money to a lot of people.

Not all climbers are tightwads or skint.

Though, on reflection......

I did think twice..

But, in relative terms, the £125 we can easily spank on fancy polyester jumper, to go with our other fancy crap, could feed, clothe, 'house' and educate child, who has brutally lost their parents in a vicious war, way out of their control, for 5 months.

And thinking about it, for probably about 85% of climbers I know, £125 is not a huge amount.
