ROCKTALK downtime - complete and utter...

Sorry folks, in an impressively huge mistake, I managed to corrupt thousands of posts in the forums database, and so I've had to restore from the backup made at 6.30am this morning. So that means all the posts made since then were lost.

Regards

In reply to Nick Smith:
Durrr! Dunce cap, smacked botty and stood in corner.

A long long time ago
I can still remember how that website used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make my keyboard dance
And maybe I'd be happy for a while.
In real life I was a loser
But on the web just another user
And it was on this site that I
Found for not having friends an alibi
I can't remember if I cried
When I found out that the site was fried
But something touched me deep inside
The day that Rocktalk died

So Bye-bye, Rocktalk alibi
Tried to post on the site
But I found it was fried
Cyber-climbers stood there trying not to cry
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Did you post on the Thread of Love
And do you have faith in Jude above
If the website tells you so
Do you believe in cyberspace
Can you withdraw frorm the human race
And can you teach me how to type real slow
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you climbing in the virtual gym
You both had matching shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely teenage climbing buck
With pink anasazis and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day that Rocktalk died

So Bye-bye, Rocktalk alibi
Tried to post on the site
But I found it was fried
Cyber-climbers stood there trying not to cry
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

In reply to Nick Smith:

LOL.

I though this was funny.

I think Jude's rapidly deleted post effing and blinding about the 'tw*t' who posted up the advert was funnier still.

Still, a nice fresh new forum is no bad thing. It looks purdy now.

It's OK Nick, here's a thought to make you smile: that knackered racer you sold me in 1998 for 20 quid is still getting me to work every morning, with a few squeaks. At least we can rely on good old rusty mechanics, even when the computers let us down...!

I'm not plastic!

Li'l Zé 21 Oct 2003
In reply to Kipper:
Watch him. He's a philosopher. Give him a break like that and he'll prove that logically you can't be mad.
GFoz 21 Oct 2003
In reply to Li'l Zé:

not all kippers are plastic
not all kippers are mad
all plastic kippers are mad
Wignut is mad
Wignut is not a plastic kipper
Kipper may or may not be mad

no contradictions there Indeed largely based on empirical data
