Hi Got some unwanted ski boots.
Does anyone know a charity that takes kit like this?
Shame to bin them.
Depends where you are... Thomas Theyer charity shop in Buxton has a sport/outdoor focus
A local BHF shop took my last ones that were still in good usable condition.
BHF have an eBay shop, and I would think many other charities could as well, and that is often the route taken for some donations.
Try Aban, an Inverness based charity taking young people into the outdoors.
I think alpkit stores may forward donations onto Aban.
My local Oxfam had a load of ski stuff in the window recently.
I've seen skiwear and kit in most charity shops.
When I last lived in the UK my local Oxfam shop often had ski gear in the window. But it was in Aviemore so maybe not typical.
Don't bin them!
If your charity shop won't take, just put them on ebay at 99p plus postage. There will always be someone who wants/needs a cheap pair and it keeps them out of landfill.
Hi all, thanks for the suggestions.
