Back by popular demand – we are very proud to announce our third Expedition Event at our Milton Keynes shop on Saturday 29th February & Sunday 1st March.

With literally thousands of our planets peaks still unclimbed there is a wealth of adventure out there for those wishing to get off the beaten track but regardless of whether your mountain challenge is in the UK or further afield we have everything you need to get to the top! (We know this for certain because we all travel, walk and climb)

If you have ever wondered how it feels to stand on top of the world then we will have Everest summiteers on hand to answer your questions first hand and with their wealth of Nepal knowledge they will no doubt be able to advise you of some quieter peaks where you can still experience jaw dropping views.

Our friends at The Mountain Heritage Trust have pulled together some fantastic artefacts for display from various era’s of mountaineering and used by some of the worlds best Mountaineers.

Representatives from Rab and Mountain Equipment will be available to advise on our huge range of specialist expedition clothing along with specialist boot fitters from Scarpa to help with our unparalleled size and style range of high altitude footwear (size 37 to 49). We stock food fit for summiting too! As a Premier Dealer for Soto stoves we are pleased to welcome Kieron MacKenzie who can advise on cooking at high altitude as well as the opportunity to taste specialist de-hydrated foods.

If you need information on how to plan your own expedition then we have handouts from the International School of mountaineering and a q & a sheet from Expedition Doctor Hannah Kitson available. Just ask a member of staff.

All this AND 20% off in the shop across the weekend along with some fantastic prizes in our brand competitions and Grand Prize Draw.

Last (but definitely not least) is our speaker on the evening of Saturday 29th February. Most people would consider turning 40 a major mile stone but Adventurer and Author Pauline Sanderson grabbed her bike and joined the Everest Max Team to complete a record breaking 8150km ride from the Dead Sea to complete the Worlds Longest Climb, stopping only at Everest basecamp to pick up her husband, put on some climbing boots and bagging a second record as the first married British couple to summit on the worlds highest mountain. Pauline’s infectious enthusiasm guarantees an evening of crazy adventures against a backdrop of stunning imagery but be warned: you might just find yourself signing up to some crazy adventures yourself afterwards!!
