A few years ago somebody tried to start UKWildCamp which was going to charge people for wild camping in our national parks, and there was massive backlash by BMC members and other outdoor communities. So much that the UKWildCamp project was scrapped.
Today I came across CampWild UK which mostly looks like a directory of camp sites, but this video they posted worried me: https://www.instagram.com/p/C3p61cUi92n/
In it he says, you'll be able to camp in "National Trust land... watch that space".
Obviously the National Trust has land in our national parks like the Lake District, Peak District, etc
So is this looking like a repeat of UKWildCamp to anybody else? Wild camping in national parks should be free and open to everybody.
