In reply to Stuart the postie:
After some frostbite injuries I have poor circulation in a couple of toes and they get cold very easily.
I have 2 pairs of Lorpen socks and they are a good and warm sock. The main issue is your circulation. If you have poor blood flow and your feet get cold they will struggle to warm up no matter what socks you are using. Lorpen insulate very well and i've found that they even insulate your cold feet from the insulation in your boots. If you warm up well then they are an option, if not - if your feet suffer at the wall - then i'd suggest getting a pair of LENZ heated socks. They aren't cheap but they work very well and I used them last winter climbing and skiing down to -15C with no issues at all.
Hope this helps Stuart.....
