I think I'd agree with you there. I understand that they are probably the most engineered gloves on the market, and there will be more design and testing going into it than your bog standard mountaineering glove. But let's face it, they're gloves, not the space shuttle. How much can redesigning a thumb, knocking out a prototype and sending it to you 'athletes' for feedback cost?
That said, there are gloves from other companies that aren't all that far off in terms of price, and there is no doubt a certain sector of the climbing community that 'need' the latest and greatest gear at any cost. Personally I'm of the opinion that the top climbers would just get on with it they were forced to wear Lidl ski gloves, but that's just me. If they continue to have the gloves in their line up, there must be a market for them I suppose.
