You've got two weeks in the Alps in late August to early September. A group of professional instructors and guides with many clients/students with varying ability.

What itinerary or goals would you set yourself?

This is just an interest piece to see what people would plan/do, please don't take it too seriously.

Avoid Chamonix in the Paris holidays, anything snowy or with a glacier!

Way too little detail here (ability ranges? Fitness levels? Ratio of instructors to the rest?) to be able to say anything at all, sorry!

From the detail provided about the group's ability and aspirations, it sounds like a suitable itinerary would be to travel to a town in the Alps and base yourself there for the two weeks. Once there, the ideal goal might be to climb a few Alpine routes, perhaps somewhere between the grades of F and ED3.

Ticking all 14 Bernese 4000ers might be fun (start in Grindelwald), that’s only one per day. Should be safe if you’re all roped together; make sure there’s a climber at the back who’s good at emergency ice axe belays.

14!?

In reply to Reader_Rambles:

Bernina and Bregaglia. Many superb rock routes, and mixed routes like the Bianograt of Piz Bernina.

What about the Alpes Maritimes? The weather is usually pretty stable, the mountains are not too high) and there is lots of good rock to go at, from scrambling and easier routes through to some pretty classic long alpine rock routes.
