Budding filmmakers had to submit examples of their work and then six were chosen to enter the finals. The finalists were kitted out with latest broadcast camera gear and financially supported to follow a top class extreme athlete on one of their death defying adventures with a brief to make a ten minute film. These finalists will then show their finished films at the 2009 Outdoors Show at the NEC, Birmingham (March 27th – 29th).

The six finalists are now frantically working away at the footage to produce a 10 minute film which will be screened at the show. The eventual TRAD film award winner will be voted for by the show visitors.
