This is a full-time, permanent position working in the shop in Keswick, Cumbria.

We offer an excellent rate of pay. Staff also get great deals (trade price or better) on all gear, clothing etc. Approximately 6 weeks holiday/year.

The Job

Nicely varied work split between shop floor retail sales, mail order processing and some office work (booking goods in etc). There is also an opportunity to develop and maintain our social media output.

Because we sell technical climbing equipment, we need someone with plenty of rock-climbing experience. NB the grade you climb does not matter - being keen and enjoying it is the most important thing!

We also sell fell running and hill walking gear so knowledge and participation in those activities could be an advantage too. 

Retail sales experience is not essential.

We encourage staff to engage with customers in a friendly and informal manner - a busy day in the shop can result in a tired jaw as well as legs.
