Since Wednesday police and members of several mountain rescue teams have been conducting an extensive search for an overdue hillwalker in the Glen Etive area.
The hillwalker, who has been missing since 1200 hours on Wednesday, is described as a Scottish male in his 70s, of slim build, approximately 5' 8" in height with short white hair, and wearing glasses. He is believed to have been walking alone and was carrying a large green and maroon rucksack, walking pole, dark brown boots, grey and blue trousers and an orange survival pack.
Northern Constabulary are coordinating the search, which also involves Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, Oban Mountain Resuce Team and RAF Leuchars Mountain Rescue Team.
Update: His body was found on Stob Dubh on the afternoon of Friday 14 September, and police have now confirmed his identity as James Baillie, aged 74 yrs from Balerno, Edinburgh.
