Had to try a fair bit, not a huge fan of these smeary layback routes. Good strong line though.

Rivelin Edge - Fringe Benefit E1 5b **
Very bold, felt like a big step up having just done Blizzard Ridge. Kicked out my first nut, then couldn't get a good placement in the next worn slot - maybe there isn't one? Glad to finally get good cams before the potluck of seeping holds at the top. Bit sketchy overall.

Certainly soft, needs to be far more sustained for VS. Nice to do while waiting for other routes.

Pretty bold although not particularly difficult. Belay placements were quite gorse-y.

Nice route, had to try hard on a few moves, glad George had worked out the crux. Fortunately managed a less bellyflop-y method on the block near the top.
