Beinn a' Bhuird - North Top summit 1,197m
A lovely evening ascent while camped near the top of Mitre Ridge

Beinn a' Bhuird - Cnap a' Chleirich - Squareface VD ***
I led P1 and P3. The approach was the crux, traversing loose ground under threatening cornices, then crossing a final snow gully, where C was hit by ice fall. As we were climbing, a huge lump of rock fell down the face crossing our traverse line. Scary stuff. The route itself was excellent, though perhaps not 4-star excellent (C-C Route was better). Anyone know why the latest SMC guidebook describes the 2nd pitch as climbing to the right of the crack, rather than up it?

Beinn a' Bhuird - Cnap a' Chleirich summit 1,172m

Beinn a' Bhuird - Cnap a' Chleirich - Cumming-Crofton Route (Summer) S ***
In 5 pitches, I joined guidebook 3+4 into one very long pitch. Other pitches were all shorter than advertised. The crux was getting to the start, involving bridging up a very large bergschrund. Pitch 2 felt harder and bolder than S 4a, the rest all closer to VDiff. Anyway, a fantastic route, one of the best.
