Lovely place to climb © Blimey
Symplegades is a peculiar work of nature being made up of two rock walls, which face each other. This is possibly the best sector for kids and families on the island due to the short approach trail and flat area below the routes. It is often cool and breezy here. There are more routes on various buttresses running away leftwards.
Drive up the bends heading from Myrties towards Pothia and at their top turn left and follow 'to the climbing' signs to parking by a gate (scooters only) Walk up the drive then follow a track left for the 'other' sectors or up the hill into the canyon on the right for Symplegades
Walking Time: 15mins
Now becoming more and more polished due to groups climbing there with no acumen to split up and visit remoter crags. Steve Perry - 07/Oct/16 |
