A variety of multi-pitch climbs and scrambles up to an hours walk from the Refuge de Gramusset la Pointe Percee. Point Percée is the highest summit in the Chaine des Aravis and dominates the skyline above Sallanches. The summit appears impenetrable from all sides without technical rock climbing, but actually has a well marked 'walkers path' to the top via the west flank.
Aproach is either from the Col des Annes on the west side (Grand Bornand) or Burzier via the Refuge de Doran on the east (Sallanches) side. If roped climbing, the approach from the west side is much shorter and easier, and avoids having to go over the Col des Verts first. If going for one of the scrambles then the approach up from the Refuge de Doran is truely spectacular and makes for a great hill day out.
