There are some excellent little routes on The Tower with perfect grit and superb views, whilst Bows Rock provides an excellent roof climb in idyllic location. Despite (or perhaps because of) their remoteness, both these small but quality crags are well worth a visit.
From Dovestones Reservoir, follow the track up the valley to the tunnel end below Ravenstones. From here, strike diagonally up the hillside between Birchen Clough and Holme Clough to reach Middle Edge Tower, or follow Holme Clough up to the top of the first waterfall then scramble up right to reach Bows Rock.
Approach time: 1 hour
