A roadside quarry, a very public spot for climbing, where your antics might attract various comments from passing locals and ne'er do wells. It is composed of a fine-grained gritstone, generally sound, but occasionally friable. The crag has a very open aspect, and as it faces southwest, gets a lot of sun, making this a fine venue for an evening or sunny winter's day.
Leave cars in the parking 100m beyond the crag, on the road towards Charlesworth. The quarry is easily reached within a few minutes.
Overgrown with brambles at the base, but good blackberries. Not climbed often. pintofbestbitter - 30/Aug/12 |
