Obelisk short © jakej
Pleasantly located seaside bouldering.
The main feature is the unnaturally vertical obelisk like boulder with its clean cut arêtes and faces. The limestone block is about 4 metres high at it's highest point with the shortest arete being 2.5 metres. It's not huge but certainly provides some good entertainment and worthwhile problems...
Some of the short walls and other boulders in the area also offer the potential for a range of good boulder problems.
Park at the Beach Car Park at SH 495871 and walk to the SE end of the beach and follow the rocky / blocky shoreline until you come face to face with the vertical obelisk like boulder. The boulder though accssible at most states of tide may not be accessible at HW springs.
