Ousteto East is about 40m high but most climbs are 8-18m with a mix of single and multi pitch routes.
In the summer it's best to climb in the afternoon when it is in the shade but in spring/autumn it can be climbed all day.
The routes on Ousteto are generally less difficult than on nearby Trinity Rocks, although there are still some challenging lines . Its location, only 2km from the centre of Veliko Tarnovo coupled with the easier routes, makes it popular for groups and beginners. But because of this, it is well maintained by the local climbing club.
It's best to park on top of the crag near the large derelict building. Or, if you're feeling strong it can be easily walked to from Veliko Tarnovo.
