Long mountain routes up a large buttress at the head of Langdale. Best routes - Ribboletto(E4), Sword of Damocles(E1), Cambridge Climb(VD). Perhaps also famed for the description of Siamese Chimneys in the 2013 Langdale Guide.
It gives some brilliant mid-grade winter climbing, some of the more recent routes are well worth it.
One and threequarter hours uphill from the Old dungeon Ghyll Car park (arrive early at weekends!).
Surely north-facing? MAC - 02/Feb/06 |
