Approach notes

Park at the large layby in Balgowan with a small track into the woods at its west end. Follow the track for a couple hundred metres then hug the fence left and until a deer gate and a landrover track. Avoid crossing the river by following the bank on the left until the landrover path appears again. Follow this until the crest of the hill and the boulder is visible on the hillside. Head directly for it taking care in the bogs and pools of water.
