Approach notes

If approaching from the Penygroes side, continue past the pop block and up the hill towards llyn dywarchen. There is an obvious disused cottage by a rocky outcrop on the right. Park here taking care not to block the gate. Room for two or three cars. Go over the gate and walk towards the large pointed block crossing a fence carefully on the way. This proves disappointing on arrival but it does have a couple of problems on it that serve as a warm up. Approximately 50m beneath it by the wall is y bloc cae.

alternatively, park by the row of cottages further down the road near to the pop block and go over the stile, then follow a track across the hill side heading back ( public access land ) to the boulder. 15 mins
