Llech y Barcut Slab...
A beautifully located hidden slab featured with thin seams and cracks, expect tiny footholds and crimps. A great little venue for the slab connoisseur.
Y Bloc Mawr...
An impressively large undercut boulder (with an impressive lip traverse) in a beautiful woodland setting with a handful of smaller outlying boulders.
The slab is located 150 metres from the 'Pop Block' hidden behind the skyline above. A 10 minute walk from the layby, walk over the cattle grid directly above is a path that Zig Zags up the copper coloured scree slope. Once above the scree head up and rightwards along a wall, where the wall ends and becomes a fence by a metal post , squeeze through the gap. Once you have crossed the wall via the gap, head up and left for the slab or downhill and right for Y Bloc Mawr. Access is also possible along a public footpath from the car park near the base of the 'Llech Drws y Coed' crag. The slab lies on land designated as 'Right to Roam'.
Y Bloc Mawr and the outlying boulders are located in a section of walled / fenced off woodland (also 'Right to Roam'). The boulder is located approximately 150 metres down hill and below the ridge in roughly a westerly direction from the Llech Y Barcut Slab.
Right to roam area :-)
