Atmospheric sea-cliff climbing at the western extremity of continental Europe on granite slabs, walls, arches and sea stacks (also with the occasional basalt dyke). Watch out for the tides and for 'rogue' waves that are rather bigger than normal.
Approach from Cabo da Roca northwards along the coastal path then use either of two steep loose paths to descend to the south or north end of the beach (Praia da Aroeira). Arco da Aroeira is at the north end of the beach. Espigão is the big prow above and beyond this, a bit further north with a prominent grey basalt dyke.
