Rocktype Quartzite
Faces SW
A steep sunny non-tidal wall, with a very soft grassy landing with a small “canyon” behind it. Underneath the overhang is an inverted “S” shape quartz hold. Most of the up problems start from this hold. The rock feels a bit snappy, but has proved to be mostly solid.
The crag is very close to the footpath on the headland. Park on the road near the beach and walk up the footpath onto the headland. The first wall you will come to is vertical, and has a good warm up traverse easier way called “box of matches” – “canyon wall” is slightly further towards the sea just beyond the first wall.
