Climbs 38
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 31m a.s.l
Faces SE
A fine cliff of high quality rough rock with a handful of quality climbs. The cliffs stretch either side of the sparsely developed area as far as the eye can see and features some of the most impressive bits of rock on the Costa Blanca. Currently no climbing is allowed due to access problems.
Also covered here are the deep water solos found in the Moraira Caves and the East Bay. Neither of these locations has any access problems.
Descent to the base is via a steep gulley a few hundred metres south of the crag marker on the map/satellite image.
The climbing group of the Xàbia Excursionist Center (CEX) are hinting at possible re-equipping at Moraira crags. However I think at present climbing is still discouraged (maybe banned) and the fixed gear is mostly rotten.
The area is part of a nature reserve which I think is why a restriction is in place. Mark Eddy - 22/Nov/19 |

I know there were restrictions for the first part of this crag near the path down, but can't find out if the rest of the crag is still restricted. Does anyone know how can I find out? It's quite away from houses so I can't see that being an issue. krikoman - 04/Oct/19 |
