Tunhill Rocks is a superb little bouldering area which has been gradually increasing in popularity. Still, you're likely to have the rocks to yourself and there are several excellent problems that are not to be missed.
As of 2024 many old problems have been given proper names for the publication of the guidebook. Problem numbers for Javu and Climbers Club Dartmoor (2017) are given in descriptions for all problems.
About 400m after the parking for Saddle Tor you reach Hemsworthy Gate where the Ashburton road joins the B3387 Widecombe road. Park in the small car park on the left, just after the cattle grid and the junction. Follow the path west up the gentle hill for about 500m to Top Tor, and then southwest for 500m to find Tunhill Rocks.
