Roque Nublo (Gran Canaria) and Mt Teide (Tenerife) from the slopes of Pico de las Nieves © Rog Wilko
You can climb here all year around but often it is covered in cloud and can be very cold. Windy days are not recommended. Routes on Roque Nublo have variable amounts of fixed gear, a trad feel and aid sections so the given sport grades dont really reflect the character of these routes. The smaller adjacent Rana sector has sport climbs however.
The rock is superb as are the views.
From Las Palmas take the GC-110 until the turn onto the GC-600. Follow this until you reach Roque Nublo.
There is a very busy path with good sign posts, which you follow for almost 1km.
