Off skiing to St Anton next week and wondering if I can get some [guided] ice climbing in one of the days. Have done a few searches in English and German but found sod all apart from a via ferata and something in lech.
The guide group in the Montafon valley (not far from St Anton) have a small area where they do taster sessions/tope-roping etc, but for bigger routes they advertise climbs a couple of hours away in Switzerland.
Yep, been 4 or 5 times to Anton. There is a possibility we might get a guide for skiing, but unlikely. TBH I wasn't convinced by the previous day we did with piste2 powder so not sure it's worth the cash.
And currently the conditions aren't necessarily looking that promising off piste.
Though of course there is plenty of time for that to change....
