Need insurance for Aconcagua ASAP

Hi all,

Was trying to buy BMC insurance for Aconcagua and the website is down. It comes up with an error after making the payment. Their office is closed for christmas and we're departing for the trip on the 24th of December (and need the insurance to start before we depart).

Does anyone know an insurance company that covers unguided trips via the normal route up Aconcagua?

Also worth mentioning that I'm British, I know some companies only work if you live in certain countries.

Snowcard says you need a guide and True Traveller insurance says they don't cover over 6,000 m peaks.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried using a different browser? That can sometimes make a difference.

I assume you've checked payment hasn't actually been taken from your card?

They won't land the chopper above camp 2 at 5500m, so just make sure if you have a problem, it "most definitely happened below 6000m."  You were only going for a walk... no intention of summiting, right?

True Traveller cover Aconcagua as it's a trekking peak.
