I am planning a trip to the Picos next summer. (Thinking about it is a distraction from the current dreary weather.) I want to climb some easy peaks, and have fairly wide alpine/mountaineering experience. I don't want to climb the Naranja! My mate (bit of a beginner climber) particularly wants to tour, but is up for scrambling/easy climbs. So - looking for info on how best to do this. Don't want to camp, the odd bivvy possible if nec... I like the idea of an east-west traverse... if there are enough peaks that can be scrambled without gear that might be best ... lots of questions ... anyone seen any good blogs/articles about this kind of thing?

... or got any advice or experience, of course?!

If based in the Fuente de area I found this book good for easier stuff (with the help of Google translate) it goes from about diff to some truly epic sounding HVS's

I always have to have veal with cabrales cheese sauce when I go there.  Very toothsome.
