Does anyone have experience of the Mountain Equipment Shelterstone jacket and how it compares to the Fitzroy?

I've borrowed a Fitzroy and found it perfect for my needs and the Shelterstone looks to be a water resistant rather than waterproof version but it's not in any of my local shops.

Cheers

In reply to Mike Stephens:

The shelterstone jacket is essentially the old fitzroy jacket. Both the Fitzroy jacket and the Shelterstone jacket are water resistant but are not waterproof, however the gore-tex infinium outer of the new Fizroy will give more weather resistance.

The new Fitzroy also uses a warmer insulation whilst the Shelterstone uses polarloft.

If you enjoyed using the old Fizroy and are on a budget the Shelterstone will be great. If you want more performance and have the budget the new Fizroy is the way to go !

In reply to Aled Williams:

It would be interesting to see how Polarloft compares to Primaloft over time. They dont specify specs, but if it was continuous filament it might be warmer over the lifespan of the jacket.
