going back through my photos taken in 2004 I came across a picture of a piece of paper held in one hand while the other was engaged in holding and using the Canon Digital Ixus 300.
On the paper is the sun's disk, slightly distorted, as a result of the two handed lack of skill, projected through cloud from the eyepiece of a small reflector telescope and the planet Venus is visible as a small black blob transiting the disk. Sadly we only get dense cloud whenever there is an eclipse or a comet in the sky these days.
