 Team BMC 25 May 2016
The BMC invites you to come along to our next gathering of climbers and walkers in the London and South East area. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a talk, and a bar and food, so it should be a great night out.

50 years of altitude medical research
Guest speaker for the evening is Dr Jim Milledge, who has been involved with high altitude medicine and physiology for over 50 years. Jim was a member or the 1960-61 Silver Hut Expedition, led by Sir Edmund Hillary and Dr Griffith Pugh, which pioneered studies into high altitude physiology; the expedition also made the first ascent of Ama Dablam, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.

Date: Wednesday 1 June 2016, starting at 7.00pm.
Venue: The Devereux, 20 Devereux Court, Temple, London WC2R 3JJ

BMC area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the area as well as the rest of the country. This meeting is also the area AGM, so we’ll be holding elections for the various area representative roles. All are welcome; entry is free. Food will be provided.
