Are you recommending them because you've used them? What a deal if that's the case...any more info? Good to climb in? Actually waterproof/breathable enough?

yep, I've had two pairs over the years and they do the job nicely, saves spending silly money leaving more for diesel for those long trips north.

Mine are cheap and old. With long john type things underneath if it gets a bit nippy. I bought them in Kettlewell about 5 years ago. Craghoppers, black ones, about £30 a pair.

The point of them is, they do the job, and if I put a crampon through them, who cares?
