Hey everyone - I am going to Australia in January to climb for three weeks, it will be my first international climbing trip -
what I would like to know is what insurance do I need to get for the trip?
What company would be good to go with (obviously BMC is an option)?
what other things should I be thinking about when choosing/buying the insurance.

Thanks!

Anything travel related I go with STA Travels own one (I have annual cover), it covers pretty much everything. So its worth looking into, just check with them what type of climbing your planning to do as there is a bit of weird wording. If I was unsure I would get BMC, used it a lot (never had to claim *touches wood*) but seems rather comprehensive!

Thank you for the info, I'll do some research into STA - seems like a good shout to me - it's just sods law if I don't buy insurance, I'll end up needing a £50,000 helicopter ride or something!
