La Sportiva Nepal and Edelrid Beast compatibility issue

I've got La Sportiva Nepals together with Edelrid Beast crampons. These are my first B3/C3 boots/crampons. However, it seems that step-in bindings do not really fit on the toe ledge as the wire does not cover the ledge properly. However, semi-automatic bindings seem to fit a lot better. It seems like both set-ups provide a decent amount of stability (well, kicking wooden floor isn't great and winter is still far away!). Of course, the boots are B3 and should be capable to accept step-in bindings.

Hence, there's a stupid question - which ones should I use? Is there any difference in how sturdy the crampons are going to be?

I am not so keen to go to Tiso/Cotswold as I didn't buy the boots from them, but I don't know any other place which would give me a hand.

P.s. As I had some Amazon vouchers and I had to buy crampons online. I couldn't get them fitted by someone who is more experienced.

I have never used crampons but it looks like the front binding might be upside down on the picture. http://i.imgur.com/sQ3iH0l.jpg

I feel like an idiot now! For some reason, I didn't see the difference which way to put the front binding. It looked symmetrical for me, but I was thinking about two dimensions rather than three.

I tried to put the other way round and it fits perfectly. http://i.imgur.com/l6Xm12r.jpg

Thanks a lot.

They look a good fit now! But to your original question I doubt you'll notice much difference between the two binding systems. Both Edelrid ones I have work fine.
