I'm looking for a rucksack I can use to carry rack, rope etc. to the crag but is not too bulky or heavy for if I need to wear it on a multi-pitch route or winter climb. Any suggestions?

Hagloffs rock hard 30. I've had one a while and it's by far the best I've used. Black diamond also make some good ones apparently.

Good deals on black diamond sacks at outside at the moment. I has a bd axis 33 which was good albeit maybe slightly over engineered but swapped to a montane torque 40 which I really like as it's easy to yse/ open etc when wearing gloves and big enough for summer, winter and also for multi day trips and compresses down small when you need it to , I highly rate it
