I'm looking at getting a sleeping bag, majority of use will be UK (going to the alps would be nice though!).

Ideal requirements:
Comfort: 0degress down to -6ish
Weight: <1kg
Price: <£200
I like the idea of hydrophobic/water resistant treated down, so I'm not so paranoid about getting the bag a bit damp, or while bivvying.

Currently looking at:
Rab ascent 500
The North Face Blue Kazoo
Mountain Equipment Titan 550
Alpkit Pipedream 400
I've also looked at cumulus, can't seem to get hold of one in the UK as I would like to be able to see it in person first.

I know it's a world of compromise, but was just after some other thoughts and opinions, thanks!

Hi Dave, I know it's not quite one of the bags on your list, but I've a hardly used Rab ascent 700 I'm looking to sell. I'll drop you an email with the details shortly and see if you'd be interested.

Cheers

David

I remember I ruled out Blue Kazoo for some reason (I think either too heavy or low fill power or both...) and got a second hand RAB Neutrino Endurance 400 for 160ish. I am really happy about it!

Sadly, there aren't that many options for such price tag.

There's something that might fit the bill, that's quite nice discount...

I have a Pipedream 400 which is four or five years old. I don't know if they have changed the spec since.

I find it ok down to about 5 degrees C, at which point I have to start putting clothes on, to stay warm. However it does only weigh 780g, so I would expect that. It is well made and quite a slim fit.
