Was thinking a Rab Ascent 500 , any thoughts ?

Ah OK. You could have been sleeping on the summit from your post! Have you tried making a reservation yet? Pick the most likely day and give it a try. Hopefully someone who knows about sleeping bags will happen along.

You can only book the Gouter 30 days in advance.

Personally an old Snugpak Merlin 3 was good enough for the valley and a night in the Forester's, last September.
